Thanks Ken, appreciate the update.Looks like Sabine is starting to come alive.
mike, you started this discussion....have you leased?
Ken, as of yet we have not leased. We went to the meeting in Converse also more or less out of curiosity. They are gonna have to do better than what they were offering to get our attention.I still think it is just way too soon.Like everyone else we are waiting on the results from the Olympia Minerals well.Once that comes out I believe it will start heating up.
People have told me petrohawk was not leasing in sabine parish! However they will be at city hall in converse 13 & 14 . petrohawk has said their cap was 15,000.00 p/acre. Their cap sound's pretty good! let's hope for the best...
I will be at the meeting. curious as to what i will hear. i also found out the person that is supposed to be representing Petrohawk is just another landman, middleman, broker or something of that nature. my lawyer friend called me today and told me the man does not work for Petrohawk. Makes me wonder.
15,000.00 sounds a little light to me. According a post on the main board Petrohawk just sold 20,000,000 shares of stock to raise a total of 600,000,000 dollars. A month ago the offer was 13,000 and now 15,000 sounds good, that just does not add up. I hope the lull in lease offers has not scared everyone. The stop in leasing is just a tactic to drive down lease prices or raise more capital. I feel that if Desoto residents can get leases in the 20,000 dollar range we should expect no less. Don't forget there are some wells in the Pleasant Hill that O&G are paying fines to not release the results on.
N. Sabine i am with you about the 15000 sounding light. The lull in lease offers is not scaring me. It is just a ploy to scare us into signing for way below what we can get later on. I think our land down here in Sabine is just as good as the land in Caddo, and Desoto parishes. The better lease offers will be here soon enough I am sure of. How can it not be. We are all on top of the same shale as the other parishes. Gas is gas. No matter what parish you are in. I am curious as to what is going on in Noble. I have land down there also as well as Converse.
Something not quite right about this meeting, petro. spokesman told me very recently not leasing in north sabine.Hope this is not one of those deal's where you leave your info. and they get back with you..... if they or whoever is not giving anything word will be on the street by noon,no one will have to go to find out. Yes, there is something rotton in denmark when the price drop's 8-10000.00 at the parish line.
I said sounded pretty good....did not say i'd take it.Am concerned a little about all the land that has been leased and the rig count it would take to get it done.I dont think they are going to pay the big money for land they could not get to. i don't want to outsmart myself. Some where the rig count and time frame is going to affect the leasing!
