Encouraging.....so would operators leasing in these mostly sumerged units lease all levels or just to the James Lime.Remember, Les said there was no dumb questions.
ken, I an unfamiliar with the details of the leases in question. Two Dogs Pirate might have an idea regarding the general terms of the leases in this specific area. Lessees always want all depth leases and often get them. Lessors should know to include a depth clause or vertical Pugh.
I bought leases that are still valid in one of the sections and all but 4 leases went all the way to China. This is why there is a Wanted Dead or Alive poster on me hanging on the light poles of Zwolle and Ebarb. It was my impression that the company was going to drill a Cotton Valley but it turned out to be a Fredricksburg. This was before the info on the Haynesville was known. We were paying as much or more than Audubon (Encana/Swepi) was paying at that time in Sabine Parish. This is the most screwed up areas, title wise, than anyplace I have ever worked, by far.
How much is the reward? LOL!
I don't know and Im damn sure I want be going there to find out. They will kill you for nothing in that neck of the woods.
TD,P, what time frame were you leasing? Also does any one know if they would drill in North Toledo State Park? Also how much HBP on shallow wells pumping in that area.
I bought leases around Ebarb from March 2006 through April of 2009. Me and my son were on it pretty hard for at least a year or 18 months. This project was only 3 sections that we were leasing. The project should have only taken a couple of months but this is Ebarb and like I said it is land title from hell. The examining attorney will pull all his/her hair out while trying to do the title opinion. They will drill the park from an off site location, my opinion. In my work we put one half section HBP. This area is not some place to put any rookies to the biz. There is 30 acres next to the school that has been screwed up bad from about 1960 with the death of Mary Ebarb.
