Forest has just received a drilling permit for the first Haynesville Shale well in the Zwolle Field.  This is also the first Haynesville Shale well in T7N-R13W and will be further south than any previous well in the Haynesville Shale play in Louisiana.

It will be interesting to see how far south it goes.
Ken, yes - it will be interesting to get a data point along the southern edge. On the Petrohawk map it would penetrate the Bossier Shale only but obviously some companies believe the Haynesville Shale play extends further south.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
