TD,P, got a well S/N or a S-T-R ? Sometime you should regale the newbies with the story of how you came by your GHS site name? LOL! I invite members who are less ancient than us to pile in and request that you tell the story. It's an interesting tale, IMO!
There are two location very close to one another here. One is Royce Salley 21-9-11 #241624. The other site is Godfrey #240845, 16-9-11. Nabors is drilling on the Godfrey site, I think. I haven't been down there to see but it appears that the rig is on Godfrey land and not on Salley. They've been there 3-4 weeks but there is nothing on Sonris yet. Maybe somebody else knows more.
The Royce Salley well is permitted but not spud, The Godfrey well is 26 days drilling @12,180', Nabors Drilling Rig F06. The surface locations for the two wells are about 300 yards apart.
Ray, here is the information on the two wells. There is another Salley well in Section 28. You can always check the following group for information on drilling rig locations.

Shell, Royce Salley 21 #1 Well, Serial #241624, S21-T9N-R11W

Nabors #F06 Rig, Shell, Godfrey L&T #1 Well, Serial #240845, S16-T9N-R11W

This isn't anything about the wells but I noticed your name. I've heard my daddy speak of this name years ago when he would be taqlking about him growing up in the same area that your talking about. He was also raised up around Belmont/ Pleasant Hill area. I would say that you and my dad were cousins. My maiden name is Salley, My parents were Albert and Margaret Salley. My dad is deceased now. My brother Charles Salley lives in StonewaLL, lA. AND i LIVE IN sHREVEPORT, lA. I've heard many a tale of the Salley's. My grandfather was Mickel Salley. Just wanted to say hi cousin.
So Martha you are a cousin to the Salley boys. Carlton Salley is the one that told me there was a wanted dead or alive poster on me in Zwolle. Royce is a cowboy and tough to deal with, it is my understanding from to locals that he got SWEPI to build a 4 lane super highway into the drill site on his property. The Salley's are major landowners in that area. I also knew Mr. Joe Salley, that past away a couple of years ago, he was a real character that could tell many stories that happened around that neck of the woods.
Hey Two Dogs,

I would like to hear the story on your GHS site name.
In the movie Dances With Wolves there was a scene where the Indians would gather in a teepee with steam and would smoke drugs that went on for like a day or more and when they would come out of the tent, the first thing they saw would become their names. Soon after the movie came out a joke started to circulate about this scene. In the joke the first thing the Indian saw was two dogs fuc$ing. Some of my friends that knew about my Cherokee bloodline picked up on this and started calling me Two Dogs.
Two Dogs,

LOL, thanks for the story.
I am sure that my original post on this was more colorful because I probably was writing at night under the influence of my choice of bourbon.
Tell him, or her, the Pirate part too TD,P. LOL!
Here's the beginning. The topic cropped up in a number of other discussion threads over many months. And a number of GHS members became Pirates, of a sort. Search the archives with key word, Pirate, and get a laugh.
