Brenda, no permitted Haynesville Shale wells in the section at this time.

 

Two good wells have been drilled and tested in adjacent sections.

 

Shell, Julia Swain 8 #1 Well, Serial #241844, S8-T9N-R11W, Sabine Parish, 16054 Mcfd, 20/64" Choke, 8900 psi Flowing Pressure

Shell, Godfrey L&T #1 Well, Serial #240845, S16-T9N-R11W, Sabine Parish, 11530 Mcfd, 18/64" Choke, 9800 psi Flowing Pressure

Brenda, I would say 50/50 chance at this point depending upon the size of your acreage and the other current leases in your section.

 

Because several companies already have substantial drilling inventories it could be a few years before they lease additional acreage.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
