Saturday, July 24, a friend received a letter from a law office on behalf of Forest oil concerning unitizing S-6 T-7 14-W - she said it mentioned 2 wells - many neighbors also received the letter. Does anyone have info on this . . . She said it would include Ebarb School

Shaleeee, any additional details or information you can obtain and post would be greatly appreciated.
Les - as soon as I read the letter I will get more info and post it - will be out of town for a few days.
I hope this isn't one of THOSE letters telling you it's too late to lease... There have been some people calling themselves "landowner advocates" that have left a wreckage of unleased mineral owners, with only bills to pay.
Les, I just got back into town - still have not read the letter on the above subject but friend did say a meeting to discuss th unitization with the attorneys has been set for August - in Natchitoches. Will let you know more later.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
