I've tried the instructions on the HOW TO ACCESS WELL PERMITS INCLUDING PLATS and get 404 messages (bad links) when I click on the links as instructed on the above page. Is there another way to access this information? I would like a copy of the plat for section 21 in northern Sabine Parish.
Thanks,
John

John, the instructions are still good although many of the links to the database were rendered non-functional when the site was overhauled at the first of the year. Try this one:
Click on Data Access and you will be in the correct portion of the database.
It looks like the navigation has changed a bit. Here is what I did to get the permit and plat:
Go to http://www.sonris.com/
Click on Document Access (this link will load the LDNR site)
Click on Document Type
Under the Criteria tab, click WELL PERMIT TO DRILL/AMEND
Enter well serial #
Check the box for associated documents
Click search (you have to temporarily allow popups)
When popup grid appears, click on the Adobe acrobat icon
Save the document to your harddrive
Thank you for heading me in the right direction!

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires.
