You're welcome, Mike. We will have nearly a full month (less 3 days) of production on Bulldog 1H in a few days. I'm expecting it to be as good as, if not better than, Banana Slugs.
Well, as we've discussed, the Banana Slugs 1-H, having made 4,471,327 mcf in 10 1/2 months is a dynamite well, second only to EOG's Sarge 1-H in Angelina County. If the Bulldog 1-H turns out to be even better than the Banana Slugs, then the Terriers 1-H, adjacent to the east, should also be a barnburner. As you said,.......... with some input from EnCana, XTO has obviously figured out the right formula for the Texas Haynesville in western central San Augustine County. These wells are way bigger than their predecessors. The Texas Haynesville is starting to be fun again! Maybe Exco Resources can figure out the formula in some Walker, A-57 Alt Unit wells in Nacogdoches County. It would seem to me that unless faults are an issue, there should be some darn good rock from the Bulldogs 1-H west to the Sarge 1-H. That appears to me to be a distance of about 20 miles.
Plenty of room for some more big wells. Permitting may be slow if they can't work around the US acreage, though. Lots of USFS along the way. XTO is foot dragging on completing their drilled wells, by the way. They are in no hurry, at all.
That one isn't filed yet. Which survey are you in?
If it is not even filed yet, then how do we get more info on it?? like Mister is asking about... any info on this anybody??? Keydets DU #1H? trying to locate info on this as well.....
Chloe, I took it as a serious question but later decided that maybe Mister Sunday was just making a statement about his alma mater being "overlooked" by XTO. That aspect aside... (back to the serious ?) sometimes mineral owners get insider information (like a proposed unit plat where their minerals are located) which is not available to the general public until a well permit is actually filed at RRC. For example, EnCana shared a map, several years ago, of their planned units in western San Augustine County before they filed any well permits. That's what I thought he was referencing... at first.
Mister Sunday,
Maybe you should send XTO an e-mail (because I know they don't read this board) and bring it to their attention that they have never used "Keydets", ever, in Texas (says RRC). VMI Keydets are in the Southern Conference this year, for anyone besides me who didn't already know that (college football illiterate female here). Surely they wouldn't deliberately dis our cadets.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
