Cabot - Forbis OU A Well 1 - Shelby County well with IP of 613 Barrels of Oil per Day

E.Texas Drilling report for March 21, 2010:

Cabot Oil & Gas

The Forbis OU A Well No. 1 hit 13,394 feet and flowed with 613 barrels of crude on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Pettet.

The Interesting thing is that the production is reported at 13,394' but stated to be in the Angie/Pettit formation.       Completion logs for the other Angie/Pettet wells in Shelby County have that formation falling at between 7,000-8,000' deep.

Could it be a horizontal?
This is a horizontal completion, but the math still does not seem to match up. The lateral on the Platt for this well shows a lateral of 6,900+'. So if they did keep the lateral at that lenght then it would seem that the "measured depth" would be more in line with somewhere in the 14,000-15,000 range - which has me wonderin' whether the 13,394' depth reported on the IP is the actual Pay Zone rather than the measured depth?

I guess time will tell once the completion reports actually become public sometime in the distance????
James Lime?
D.G., usually what is reported in the "ETDR" is total depth. I have found that you can't depend much on the permitted depth hardly ever being what is actually drilled. The critical points (SL, POP, BHL) will be very close to what is proposed on the plat (if they don't have drilling difficulties) but true vertical depth can't be determined based on what is permitted. The only way to know with any certainty is to wait for the completion report.
Thanks, JF.
I saw a Cabot report detailing the location of the Forbis oua & oub somewhere on this site. I want to show them to my mom but can not find them. Can someone please give me direction.
Thanks,
Brodie
