Devon's - Warr 1-H / 2-1/4 miles NW Center, Texas - Shelby County

When Devon announced their success with their 30.7mmfcd Kardell #1H in San Augustine last week they also mentioned that their 2nd horizontal is currently being drilled in Shelby, Co.

This is the Warr 1H well, which originates in the D.Hopkins (A-306) Survey and continues Northward into the E. Carzenava (A-96) Survey.

Considering the success of their Kardell well, it will be pretty interesting to see where this one comes in at....

Approved W1:

Three fields are listed as targeted per the application:

1) Center/Haynesville: Gas-Completion depth @ 17,500'
2) Stockman/Cotton Valley: Gas-Completion depth @ 10,000'
3) Wildcat: Gas or Oil - Completion depth @ 17,500'

Any updates on how this one is progressing?

The unit for this well is adjacent and just to the SouthWest of CHK's Carnevaza 1H, so it would also be interesting to hear how that well is coming along as well.

Do you know anything about the Roadrunners Du Well in Shelby County? It is a Wildcat well and is 8.4 miles SouthEast of Center in the C. Tutt Survey? Would love to get some more information ..... at least more than was in the Tyler Newspaper this past weekend.
Here's a link to a seperate discussion on that Roadrunners Drilling Unit well by XTO:

Hopefully folks will post further information on that particular well in that discussion as the info/rumours/ect become available.
I think this is in the general area where CHK drilled its Harvey well. I've heard the Harvey is "really good", but no published numbers? Does anybody know?
Devon's Warr 1H is right next door to CHK's Carzenava 1H well and about 3 miles West of the Harvey 1H.

There was an earlier report that the Harvey well IP'd at 17mmfcd on 22/64, but there was never any independant verification/publication of those results elsewhere.

Some speculation that things might have gone wrong elsewhere on this site or, perhaps, CHK might have just shut the well in for the time being until NG prices improve and pipeline catches up to the area????
my report from chk rep said the harvey was terrible maybe 1.5 mmcf, same report on the carzenava
tested at 17mmcf week befor last.
Thanks HS. That 17mmcfd report would be pretty interesting if it is correct about the Carzenava - very respectable number if accurate. Hopefully they will release these numbers publicly soon?

We're about 4 miles directly West of that Carzenava unit so 17 mil would be pretty good news to my ears - although I'd secretly be wishin' for one of those 30mil monsters!
I'm not sure where the Carzenava well is, but the Warr well is between Center and Timpson off Arcadia Road and the Harvey well is on a county road off FM 414 in the Sardis/Campti community deep in the woods. I'm almost positive that they are not in the same area.
Devon's Warr Unit and CHK's Carzenava Unit are just about 1.5 miles apart from each other.

Warr Unit starts in the D.Hopkins Survey and continues Northward into the Carzenava Survey. CHK's Carzenava unit is just on the East side of Hwy 96.

Looks like DVN's/Warr Unit well was re-permitted at the RRC today to add a 4th target formation in addition to the three previously named:

North Carthage (Bossier Shale).

The four fields listed as targets per the revised application are now:

1) North Carthage/Bossier Shale: Completion depth @ 17,500'
2) Center/Haynesville: Gas-Completion depth @ 17,500'
3) Stockman/Cotton Valley: Gas-Completion depth @ 10,000'
4) Wildcat: Gas or Oil - Completion depth @ 17,500'

So it would already be huge if this one hits viable production in the multiple gas formations of the Haynesville, Cotton Valley and Bossier shales but what really has me wonderin' is what is that additional "Wildcat/Gas or Oil" formation that they are also stating as a target????
Re-permited again today - with new unit boundries. Unit is now jumped from 352 acres to 766.5 acres.
