Just wanted to remind the membership that the last open informational meeting for the Southern Hills Gas Leasing Coalition is tomorrow, July 31 at 6:00PM in the main sanctuary of Christ United Methodist Church on Crabapple.

So far, over 650 homeowners have joined the group. We need more! So please plan on attending and signing up!

7/26/08 ANNOUNCEMENT: UPDATE AND NEXT COALITION MEETING



WE HAVE SOME VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THIS UPDATE!!



Since our last meeting on July 17th, the Steering Committee for the Southern Hills Gas Leasing Coalition (SHGLC) has been busy collecting and organizing names and addresses of the homeowners who wish to be in the coalition. Currently, there are OVER 650 HOMEOWNERS WHO HAVE JOINED THE SHGLC. We want to thank everyone who is continuing to help make this Coalition a success, and we continue to be confident about the direction in which we are moving.



OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY, JULY 31, 6:00 PM, AT CHRIST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. This meeting will be the last open informational meeting. Future meetings will be closed for SHGLC members only. The next closed meeting date, time, and location will be announced at this last open meeting. During this meeting, members will have the opportunity to submit questions in writing and turn these into the committee. We plan to answer these questions as soon as possible. The committee will also be available after the meeting adjourns for a short time to answer questions. Information will also be posted on the NEW SHGLC WEB SITE BLOG WHICH WILL BE AVAILABLE THIS WEEK! This web site address will be announced at the meeting as well as emailed to members.



VERY IMPORTANT: During this informational meeting, we will also distribute a DRAFT OIL, GAS, AND MINERAL LEASE. We are asking that each member review this lease for one week before the next closed member meeting. We will also ask that each member submit during this informational meeting a WRITTEN BID FOR BONUS PAYMENT AND ROYALTY PERCENTAGE to be asked for during negotiations. This information will be collected, averaged, and used to begin negotiations with the gas companies.



PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND THIS MEETING AS NOTED BELOW!! We look forward to seeing everyone and providing this very important information so we can move forward with negotiations.
