Can anyone confirm that the survey flagging just west of Colquitt Rd @ the north end of Section 24 is, in fact, for a road and well site in Section 24?

This location is  approx. 1/2 mile north of Grawood Baptist Church.

The well for section 24 will be drilled on the south end of the section. The pad is east of Keith Road between Branchwood and Metro.

http://sonlite.dnr.state.la.us/sundown/cart_prod/cart_con_wellinfo2...

It was permitted on 6/7/2010. No drilling activity listed yet on SONRIS.

Maybe the flagging you saw is for Section 13 to the north.
Mr Davis are you discribing the site that section 25 well is being drilled on now. The pad was built over a year ago and drilling started a couple months ago for sec 25.Im in sec. 24 and walk from my back yard through the woods to the well site.
Check SONRIS. The section 24 well is permitted. The new section 24 well is very close to the existing section 25 well.

It's probably the same road and pad as the section 25 well.

There may be no actual activity on the surface for sec24. It was only permitted on 6/7.

The sec 25 well shows being at total depth on SONRIS. No info on SONRIS for fracing or completion yet.

The square dot just north of the word "Caddo" is the planned section 24 well. The round dot just south of "caddo" is the Section 25 well being drilled or finished now.

By the way, what road do you live on?
With Branchwood lots being up to 5 acres and Metro , Oakfield being 1.5- 2 acres their is not much room for another entrance road but the existing sec.25 pad is bumping a 96 acre tract of woods and 2 ponds also woods from there almost to 171.I also believe your right, that the same pad will be used.I'll walk over tomorrow and let you know if anything looks differant. Thanks for your response.
Friend, it must be for the following well.

Chesapeake, Crow 24 #H1 Well, Serial #241459, S24-T16N-R15W
Les, that's the well for section 24, mentioned in my post above. It's on the south end of the section, not where Friend saw the survey markers.

Friend was asking about survey markers on the north end of section 24. That might be for a well on section 13 to the north. Section 13 is unitized, but no well permit is listed in SONRIS yet. The section 13 unit order doesn't show a well location, but the south end of section 13 would make sense for a well location. The north end of section 13 is along the Harper Road subdivision.

Has anyone seen any evidence of work for a road on the north end of section 24/south end of 13? This would be near the bayou and Smalley road.
agree... the survey markers were on the north end... @ this point do not know for what purpose they were set. That said, the Chesapeake, Crow 24 #H1 Well, Serial #241459, S24-T16N-R15W is obviously first well drilled in Sec 24 and it is on the same road and pad area as the section 25 well.
Drilling in progress.

Thanks all!
Still no well permits for 13 or 23, but both are unitized.

Is there any further sign of activity on the north end of 24 where you saw markers and such?
no sign of activity where i saw the markers... i expect section 13 will be accessed from the north and west, given low (wet) lands and major highway to the east.
1 October 2010, The road to this new well site was built over the past week.
