Question…If the Smackover well in Southern Arkansas comes in and meets, or exceeds, expectations
would that in any way enhance the value of the mineral rights for those of us still holding them in Northern Union Parish?
What would production need to be to make a horizontal Smackover play commercially acceptable?? And how would one get this information? Drive up there and get the serial number?
We’ve been approached, my Uncle, but a 7 year lease still sounds questionable.
Thank you so much for your reply.
I don’t have a lot of land but what land I do have I would like to see used in the most productive manner possible.
I haven’t read the complete document, as supplied to us by Mr. Allen, but the brief skimming read I did give, to this point, didn’t leave me with the impression there was much give on the part of the entities acquiring the leases.
Like I said earlier, my uncle has been approach w/re our land and included a 4 year lease with a 3 year option. I can’t see signing something like this.
Thank you again for your response.

what site is this that you are refering to?? the site to check wells
deangelo, there is a group page that provides tutorials for those member who wish to learn how to navigate the state mineral databases.
Is there enough historical data to render an educated/experienced guess w/re to length of production?
I understand there would be a relatively quick decline in original production; however, would a well of 650+/- original bopd have a 5 to10 +/- year period of economic production or no?
Thanks
