Skip,The rig is assembled vertical, white flood lamps lighting the entire area, red flashing lights at the top, and with that huge side basket thing for the pipe. I drove right up to it (old DavidsonBuckle2 well) last month, there was an area which was being cut out through the woods for the pipeline to DSCC1, and another area on the opposite side which appeared like a 8 inch deep pit about 30x30 or so. They had also just torn down a portable building and it's power boxes.
You can see rig from Hatchell on left of fire station. At night it is lit up.
DJ, there is no well permit for that location nor any other for Hilcorp in Livingston Parish at this time. Is the rig stacked or assembled?
PS: Gaynell, the well is across the street from Friendship Elementary School on Cockerham, near Hatchell. It's not in our square mile (TUSC RA SUH), so nothing for us.
Hi Gaynell,DavidsonBuckle#2 (TUSC RA SUF) is the well which has held the original lease all these years due to production (1971); no Pugh clause. Your case may be different. Production from DSCC1 is being pipe-lined over to DavidsonBuckle2 and then likely on over to processing facility off Linder Road. If you'll look at the grid map we received from Hilcorp, it's the far western well on the grid. I'm a bit disturbed about supposedly being bound to this 1971 1/6th lease. Will very likely have someone look more closely at it.
Can soneone give me a location for the DavisNBuckle#2? How is the DavisNBuckle#2 location related to the DSCC#1? We have land in the DSCC#1. We also notice that the drilling has been complete. Any new information on the status of the DSCC#1 is also appreciated.
Skip and all,
Hilcorp finished drilling DSCC#1 a few week ago; and it appears they've moved the drilling rig over to the old adjacent wellsite TUSC RA SUF (DavidsonBuckle#2). Possibly adding a second well or maybe laterals? I just never noticed the driling rig there until tonight. Can someone please ck and let me know what's going on? thnks
Welcome to the Livingston Parish group, Chad Mayo. Our land is near you. We are in the well unit for the Denham Springs Country Club #1 well (near Eden Church Rd.).
Thanks...will try to start a discussion.

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
