Steve,

Do you know how far these 2 units are from Weyanoke?

Thank you for this encouraging information.

How long does it tend to take before drilling starts? Any way to know how far north and east?  I'm closer to the middle of the north line, but this news certainly provides hope for the future! Thank you, Steve, for posting!

Contango has applied for 2 units (995 acres each) in the northeast corner of W.Fel.

We are finally going to get 2 TMS wells - Encana and Devon are both permitting wells in the northern part of W. Feliciana. http://tuscaloosatrend.blogspot.com/2011/11/encana-applies-for-tms-...

Bayou Sara is about as close to us as LaCour #43, we are on the "other side of the river" in Pointe Coupee Parish.  And we are leased but waiting.  There is production within a mile of us but it is Tuscaloosa Trend, a reworked well.  Our lease is for both Austin Chalk and Tuscaloosa Trend but no mention of Tuscaloosa Marine Shale.  It is my understanding the TMS lies between the Austin Chalk and the Tuscaloosa Trend.  I find it interesting in that on our side of the river it is all Austin Chalk yet across the river it is all Tuscaloosa Trend.   Regardless, a scout well at Bayou Sara sounds good to me.

It's great to see activity in West Feliaiana Parish. I am a member of several groups in North Louisiana. GHS has been a tremendous help, along with lots of info. I hope I get an oil well road that runs right to my deer stand. Lot's of luck to all!!
