William Howard Pritchartt,
In response to your question about royalty buyer. I don't know about Wilkinson county but I have 16 acres in W. Feliciana Parish about 8 miles south of the Wilkinson County line, just below Woodville and about 2 miles west of the Goodrich SLC well. I have received 2 offers, both in Jan. 2014. Lake Placid Inc (address Magee Ms. phone 601-940-3616) offered $500 per net mineral acre on Jan 13, 2014 followed by Permian Basin Acquisition Fund (address Midland , Texas phone 800-488-4042) offering $2500 per net mineral acre. Turned both down and have had no offers since then. Why such a huge difference in offer, I don't know.
Since begging my career as a Landman I have been living on the road more than Willie Nelson. My hometown is Natchez, MS but have been living in Houston, TX since 2010. Although I know the land records of both Wilkinson and Amite Counties I have not worked the TMS there since 2007. Can anyone tell me if the royalty buyers are active in these two counties and if so what is the current market price per royalty acre?
Anything new on the Pintard 28h-1 and the hope of the Pintard 28h-2
When the state (LA) approves a unit it confers the authority to choose the operator. Sanchez may or may not drill any units they form. They could very well get an operator (energy company) with more experience and technical ability to drill their units.
Sounds like they will begin in May. They have no need to get in any rush regarding leases such as yours. Still plenty of time.
Does your lease contain an extension clause?
I wasn't aware that they were moving slowly. Do you know when they acquired their leasehold? And any idea about when their leases will begin to expire?
No. Could be any number of reasons. Shifting contract rigs around isn't always a simple process. Much depends on the state of lease terms in the areas being drilled. When a rig is assigned to the Blackstone well it will appear in the weekly rig report.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
