I have seen this photo posted before somewhere (although I can't recall where). It is a clever photoshop composite of at least three photographs (rig, tornado, lightning).

Look at the lower right corner of the drilling rig, where the stairs come down to the right. There is a blue tank with two wind socks hanging from poles. If a storm were this close to the rig, do you really think that these wind socks would be HANGING LIMP as they are in this photo?? It is a clever FAKE!

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
