True Texan, you are looking at the business end of the A-10 Thunderbolt, aka the Warthog. The automatic cannon pictured is the General Electric GAU-8 Avenger. I don't know how large the bolt in the center is but the cannon is a 30mm(1.181") capable of a rate of fire around 4200 rounds per minute. Bottom line: A whole lot of whoop ass.

Look at the rifling in those barrels! That is cool! What size do you think that bolt is in the middle so that we get a sense of size of the barrels?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
