I just joined this group today - (Oct. 12).  I have land on the Russell Loop also - the Russells were my Mother's side of the family.

Our well is small compared to other wells in the Haynesville Shale.  If you want I'll send the particulars, but I don't want to depress you.  In section 10, which is above us to the right, they have a very large well, so I"m hoping that this was just a bad drilling job and they do a re-work on it in the future.  And as of September 21, there are 1586 producing wells in the Haynesville Shale, and our well produces more water than almost all of them, so maybe we can sell the water and get rich that way)))).  Anyway, I hope I'm wrong about the numbers and this well turns out to be a big one - Mike LaCour

Thanks, Dan. I try to promote, wherever possible, the use of public records, whether parish Clerk of Court filings or state database, and corporate reports. The site has always contained a large measure of rumor and wishful thinking which is understandable but oft times inaccurate and confusing. Good Luck. Skip

This is Roland Knott from Noble. We've recently published a book about "Smokey." See www.createspace.com/3421314. I know you will enjoy it. There is far more to this man than "the crazy old man."

Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 10,000 members.

There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.

Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.

Lastly, be sure to check out our tool bar. It will speed up your participation. Download our free toolbar

As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.
