I did not think that I would ever see any company surpass Chesapeake in treating their mineral lessors poorly but Range has done it.  Much is unethical.  How much is illegal, I can't say.  The law firm that I have worked closely with for ten years has a number of suits against Range currently and has generated a lot of information.  I suggest that you contact Randy Davidson, principal partner at Davidson, Summers APLC in Shreveport, 318-424-4342.  If Randy is not tied up, you will likely speak directly with him.  If he is busy, you will get either Jan or Julie, his executive assistants.  Tell them I referred you.  Good luck, Skip

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
