Thanks Jean for accepting my invite.  I enjoyed your comments about the Palmer Chapel area and the $1000 offers. The best that I had previously heard was $800 in areas South of Alexandria.  My property is near Hwy 107 (Paper Mill area - not too far from Palmer Chapel).  I got an offer last Spring for $400 from Indigo, but they stopped leasing shortly after that.  No other offers since.  FYI - I also have some property near Nantachie Lake.  No offers there; but good to hear some activity up that way.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
