I believe the field he was talking about is the SENTELL FIELD.. I do not know your area too well. But, I was impressed enough by Southern Star Energy to buy some of their penny stock. My opinion is that they will be very successful in reviving this old field. If this is same field gatrpaw reffered to it is Between Bossier City and Benton. And the land they have leases on may be quite valuable in regard so Haynesville Shale. They plan to drill vertical well to look at Haynesville before end of year.
I am a geologist and owner of very small oil company. My interests are nearArkansas state line, in LA, between Springhill and Haynesville. At this point I expect my land up there will be productive in Haynesville Shale. Many people who purport to know more than I do, disagree. I have followed development of North Shongaloo Field and participated in drilling of a number of wells drilled by Fina, XTO, Will-Drill and others. I will assume my land will be productive until drill bit proves me wrong.
