How long can a well be in production before royalties are paid?  I have interest in a well nesr Greenwood that has been in production several months, no division order or any communication from the company (Ensight).See More

Why would information about a new well with production info just stay on Scout Details a couple of weeks?

"SONRIS now shows production at 19.650 mcfd at a choke of 26/64 for one of the wells (unit includes Section 4, 16 N 16 W). Well has lateral of about 10,000 feet. No division orders yet."

Problems with Big Drilling Units



The Louisiana Department of Conservation has already approved joining some sections near the Texas line to form drilling units for the Haynesville Shale in excess of 900 acres instead of the normal 640 acre units. I understand also that Louisiana law currently limits the size of drilling units to 640 acres, so I do not understand how this change can be implemented without changing the law. L. Atkins wants to check with Petrohawk. I am having a friend work this angle for me. Nothing back yet. Agurs well production still being kept a secret. Who is your contact with Petrohawk? The figure of 5000 sounds about the going price in the area.
