I live in Louisiana , have 5 acres in Desota Parrishoffered 20,000/25% for five years haven"t signed yet. But I have mineral right in the Richie survey in San Augustine have a lease for 500 /20% for 5 years with a draft in hand . I called the guy with Elite and told him that wasn't going to work around the 12 of Sept. Haven't heard back from him. I was trying to find out wat most leases were going for in S.A County. Any information will help.
Thanks Charles
Sorry for not getting back to you quicker. You can get some good info on Cabot from this presentation: http://www.cabotog.com/pdf/080903Final_Lehman.pdf
Also you might want to go to the "Talk Shale" section of this website and search for "cabot"......lot's of good info.
Thanks you so much for all of your replies.
I was referring to Southwestern Oil and Gas. Apparently they are in the northern area of SA and Shelby counties.
There appears to be a considerable amount of leasing in San Augustine but no press. Are there any "us against them" groups. It seems to me we should all be organizing.
Type in : railroad commission of texas (2) Click on the top on--(The Railroad Commission of Texas) (3) go down to maps and click on it. (4) Click on Public Gis Map Viewer for oil , Gas, and Pipeline Data..(5) click on map viewer (6) go down after reading and click on Accept.. ............ Ok now you should see a map of Texas..........Go over to the right where it says (Go to County/.......) Click on the check and find San Augustine or Sheleby....... Then click on Survey/Abstract click on Dan Augustine and you abstract #... you should then see your survey....... Hey we had trouble at first, our lawyer had to show us how to.......lol,,, well I hope that helped.......
Paige, Yes its up in teh eastern part. You are a reallly really good location!!!!! Sorry I didn't answer right back, went to bed. Do you have a map of Texas? If so look for Hwy 21 east ,now above that going through San Augsustine is your area of interest.... I am trying to think of some people who live in that area .. Shelby county is getting from $5000.00 up to $7500.00 per acrea.. So I seems the closer you are to Shelby or even Sabine County you are in good shape..... Let me try and find out of some people in that area today.. I will get back with you later.. Now what about southwestern here.. Do you have land in that area has well? I want to tell you alittle about myself, so that you know you are not dealing with a landman... I live here in San Augustine for about 33 years and have been married for 19 year to my husband... We have two children which i homeschool... I started trying to help our our town folks as much as I can... So I am here even for the out of town folks, because I want to... Well I will start trying to find some people in that area and get phone #s .... Take care& good luck... Shelley
P.S. can you tell me in a nut shell how to look up the maps on the RR website. I am having trouble bringing up categories.
You are really helpful!!1Thank you so much!!1
do not know what St Marys is paying but do know that Devon is offering $5000.00 around our area, but i thinking where your survey is at it will be higher.... Crimison oil company was leasing in that area.. Her is a name of a lady who is a landman for them..Melissa Hailey 903-790-7576 or Lynn Gentry 903-253-5991... Encana so far is only leasing in San Augustine the South central part...... I will try and get you somemore names and #s....
ok just looked up your survey... is it the J T Patterson survey? I am trying to think of people that i know who live over there....... Do you know anyone from that area?
yes i know just about where you are...... we are south central of san augustine all the way across town from shelby county and blandlake area...... look into the railroad commission of texas... look under maps . you can get in there and look at your survey,,, blandlake the oil company that had been leaseing is St Marys.... Devon ...
Paige, we sign with Encana... We really like that company! We have land out on 705 ... Encana seems to be leasing all in the south central of San Augustine just about everyone around our land has sign with them...... It was $5ooo.oo per acrea with 25% royal..... We hired a lawyer to work with Encana on our contract... Let me know if I can help in anyway!!!! I didn't know about the well in Broaddus... We are between 83and 103... Take Care !!! Shelley
Hi Paige, here are some #s from oil and gas folks... Encana: Jay Evans and the # is 936-275-2555 .......... Devon: Gordon Miller and the # is 903-571-2773...... Good LucK!!!!!
One is 5.49 mi NW of San Augustine in the Kimbrow, W Survey. Another one is 17.5 mi SE of Broaddus in the Hyden, N Survey. Not sure of the status. Someone else may know more about these wells.
