I hear you on dodging a bullet today, but sure we did need the rain around my house (about 50 miles west of Beaumont off I-10 in Old River area). Hurricane Rita is still fresh in my mind and I'm not in a hurry to go through that again!

I just recently found this site and I'm hoping to learn a little more before signing on the dotted line, but it seems like you're dinged if you do, and dinged if you don't. Offers have been slow for us too but I will pass on anything I hear.

Hi Carol, We just heard about this a little over 2 weeks ago. We've only received one offer of $7,500 and 25%. My husband has contacted other companies, but only one has called us back and his company was not leasing in our area of DeSoto Parish. We're not in any hurry. Just waiting.

We would like to go visit the area, but it is too hot this time of year. We're waiting until the Fall. We have part of the old Taylor Homestead hear Grove Hill Cemetery in Section 12.

Well we dodged another storm today. We got about 2 inches of rain and some wind.

Where in Texas are you located?
