AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

Was your mother Ms Alvie?
People are sending me notes and I am getting back to everyone and letting them know that we are still in good shape because its still earily for the parish. We have time to get some key people in place and to become organized. I will keep in touch and you do the same, also tell everyone in BIenville parish that you can and have them join this site and to drop me a line with their info.

I read your note you sent me, I have land in sec 34 T14N R6W in Bienville parish and I just got rid of some land in Winn parish sec7 T13N R5W also. I would love to see someone much more knowlageable than me step up and want to get involved with process of org. land owners in the area. there is alot of old school thinkers around here, they never put any thought into getting togeather with other land owners to increase the value per ac. of the land they own. It will take alot of time and work, but the good news is that for now we do have some time before the hounds will hit the area hard.
The shoot is still ongoing in Winn and this part of Bienville parishes. I know of no landman in this area. When the results are in from the shoot I am sure things will pick up. A CHK landman has been east of the shoot area in Winn and only offering $400.00 per ac. There is alot of gas all around us here, I think its just a matter of time and don't bite early, the offers will go up.
