KCM, some operators are restricting production rates due to the current gas prices and in some cases a lack of adequate downstream pipeline capacity.
KR, that is just a super well test. The 8172 psi flowing pressure and 18/64" choke shows this well is not flowing at full rate and would likely flow at 25 MMcfd if opened to a slighty larger choke size (22/64").

I did not realize they had finally posted some test information but Chesapeake still has not obtained an official well potential from the State. That is the reason the well does not yet have an assigned gas production allowable.
When do they do that?(Post from the state I mean) We also noticed that there was a well completion on section 20/13n/13w 4500'MD ,what does that mean? We are watching S20,30,31,32 13n 13w.
The well you mention is drilling and not yet completed. It is permitted to drill to 4500' MD (Measured Depth).
Isn't that shallow
This is not a Haynesville well. If Bengal Production has ever drilled a Haynesville well, I am unaware of it. There are a few producing gas wells in that area completed in the Paluxy formation. I suspect that is the target formation for this well. The Paluxy is a little shallower that 4500' but just because the well is permitted to that depth does not necessarily mean Bengal will go that deep.
So are they still drilling for gas? I know nothing of the Paluxy formation.these are obviously vertical ..yes?
Yes this is a vertical gas well.
Didn't know some sections were not part of Haynesville.Looks like I need to do a little research,Thanks for info
k.r. Section 20 - 13N -13W is most definitely in the Haynesville Shale Play. Not all companies and wells are targeting the Haynesville.
KR that well is targetting the Mooringsport Formation.
Ok,Your sweet to be patient with me! Never heard of Mooringsport Formation either.(Yes I'm Blonde!)

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling
