Wanda,

Without knowing the dollar amount your checks were at, what they went to, the amount of land you own and royalty percentage you received, the Glenrose wells in your section were drilled almost 5 years ago, causing declines in production, and are producing less for the whole month than some HA wells in a single day. This production added with your royalty acreage and the drastic drop in natural gas price we saw this past year all play major roles in the amount of your royalty checks.

Don't know about that Eric. We have had producing wells since the mid 70's and checks were close to $2000 a month about a year ago. Yep, the drop in natural gas prices have hit us big. I don't think Encana would have sent a check for $2.00 if it were not something administrative or for tax purposes. Wish Encana would just start doing SOMETHING where we are. Soon, I hope.

Are you in the same section? I assume not if you "wish Encana would start doing SOMETHING"; they're drilling a HA well. Also, production in this section only goes back to 2004, which leads me to believe you are in a different section.

I'm not here to argue; but nothing you posted mentions being in this section; you said 27- 14/14. I'm giving reasons as to why Wanda could of received a low royalty check, which are all very real reasons.

Wanda, just keep trying to contact Encana. They are the only peeps who know what is going on with your lease. Good luck..and happy new year.

we are with encana in 2 sections and they are paying great. Actually encana was operator and we were leased with petrohawk. We called to inquire about monthly ck. at 3 mos. after well went online. Both companies followed up and we started cks. Actually we got our first ck. 3 months after well was completed.Checks were retroactive and have been on time middle of the month since then. I would highly recommend either co. Also we were paid based on Henry Hub prices. We have friends with Chesapeake in Caddo and since June they have been pd. $1.97 cft since then. They have protested with no response.
