An Encana super pad went up over night and then a rig came in and it got permitted all in same week. Have never seen all this activity happen this quickly. Sec. 7 & Sec. 6 are being drilled from Sec. 7 pad. Seismic people everywhere again. ANyone know why all the super rush to get this well up. Leases don't expire til fall 2010

LJW, the Sec. 6 and Sec 7 of 14/14 wells are being drilled vertically in Sec. 7 now. You should be able to see the rig at night from N. Desoto Est. When the horizontal rig comes in it will drill 6 and 7 from Sec. 7. Sec. 7 is already permitted. Assume they will wait to permit 6 when the horizontal comes in.
Kittycatmama, I've been seeing that rig at night..... what a beautiful sight!
LJW, the following is the permitted well for Section 6 that is being drilled from Section 7:

Trinidad #124 Rig, EnCana, Virginia Packert 6 #H1 Well, Serial #240681, S7(6)-T14N-R14W
Thanks for the information Less........ gotta go tell all my neighbors!
oops....that's Les
I'm out of town and was wondering if anyone in 14n 14w on Long Road in Gloster has seen section 9's flame in the field at the top/crest of Long Road, or whatever sign that the well is complete, running, etc? Sonris appears to be behind and I don't know what's going on other than they touched down at the end of November. Thanks.
I would also like to have any news from wells in 14N 14W. I know there are several drilling at this time. Have the wells in sec. 16. 21. or 27 made the the turn yet?
Parkdota, the clouds were lit up from a flame in the direction of sections 9 & 16 last night. I'll drive by tomorrow and let you know if I see anything.
Sweet, thanks so much!!!!
Kittycatmama, I've got another idea as to why there is so much seismic activity in 14n 14w. Of all the wells that have been put in to production only one, section 10, appears to be a bust. So, I did some asking around (my family has a tiny bit of land in sec 10) and it appears as if they hit a fault line when drilling thus ruining the process. They have contacted adjoining sections to purchase rights to start their drill from another section and go under sec 10 thus avoiding the fault line. It doesn't appear as if the fault line is in 4, 9, 16, etc. but it does appear to be in 10. I also noticed that nothing has happened in 1, 2, or 3 which are N and NE of 10 so maybe that is an issue there as well.
