Coonman. There hasn't been an application or order for townships 20 and 19N in a long time. Devon's in 20N -14W were heard Jan 26, 2010. But before that we must go back to a single unit by Endeavor in S26 - 19N -11W on Oct. 20, 2009. Those may not seem like long ago but keep in mind that the public hearing schedule is currently published through April 6, 2010. I just don't see much of anything happening in north Caddo and Bossier parishes. And I do not expect to see any HA related activity until nat gas prices improve significantly. I am hoping that we will hear something encouraging in the near future in regard to Devon's units which, IMO, are more likely to be CV or SMK wells.
Just accross the Stateline there is alot of activity 2 miles west and north and south.. I wish somone could tell us more about the Texas activity for this area..
what about sec.33 near cross lake ? its south of the lake we signed about 18 month ago.
JW, I think you may be referring to Section 33 - 18N - 14W as it is south of Cross Lake. Encana formed a HA Unit that combined Section 33 and part of Section 28 which is located under the lake. There has been no well permitted for that unit.
Skip, take a look at the attached grid.

Les,
This is a great map! Thanks!! :)
Les,

I don't know if this color scheme works for me.

I look much better in pink than in yellow. Instead of you changing it, why don't you just put in a word to the oil and gas companies to increase their unitizations.

If they increase it enough I won't even mind wearing blue instead of pink.
Les B: Thanks for clean, clear presentation of units. What do the different colors represent?
BB,

Yellow/Tan - 1 to 29 units in a Township-Range
Light Red - 30 to 35 units in a Township-Range
Blue - 36 units in a Township-Range which means fully unitized

I underlined the 30 in T15N-R16W because that is all the sections in that particular Township-Range.
Thanks, Les. I was thinking about a color code that would recognize not just the number of units formed by township but a means to indicate where current unitization is occurring. For example, a color for those townships with more than X number of units in the last 30 days. Those with less than X in the last 30 days. Those with none in the last 30 days. Those with none in the last 60 days, etc. All those that have reached full unitization would be a base color. In other words, a means to indicate the level and location of unitization activity at the time of the Snapshot.
skip i live in sec 33 15n 18w jolly napier thanks
JW. I am familiar with Jolly Napier Road. Isn't it in 18N - 15W? As you are in Section 33, you are in the Greenwood-Waskom Field which has a healthy amount of on-going development activity by Petrohawk and Chesapeake. At current nat gas prices and the pace of development, you may have to wait a year or so but you should be okay. Good Luck.
