question about the report date of the gas production in 17 16n 15 w

Hey quick question.  when i look at sonris it says the well went online on nov 22,2009. On dec 1 2009 it says the well produced 290,590,000 mcf of gas.  is that the production for just those 11 or so days . Between nov 22 to dec 1.  Can someone explain this to me.  Just got my division orders too.

  thanks ylo

YLO, the well produced 290,599 Mcf (thousand cubic feet) during the month of December. This would be equal to an average rate of ~ 9,364 Mcfd (thousand cubic feet per day) in December.
Les why wouldnt the average be more. Sonris has the well coming in at almost 15 million a day. I just dont get it. what about the gas from the 22 of nov to dec 1.
thanks ylo
YLO, this is very good 30 day average as the well begins to decline immediately and Chesapeake may have restricted flow slightly. There was no reported gas sales in November.
Is this a good well in ur opionion. I know all are good but is it above or below average.
YLO, I would be say this is a very good well and above average.
thanks les, you are the man. When I get my first check i will report all info
ylo
YLO & Les, it appears to me that the Wooley 17-H in Sec 17 produced 101,947 mcf during the 9 or 10 day period from Nov. 21 to Nov 30, for an average of a little more than 10 million/day for that period. As you said, it then produced 290,599 mcf for the month of December for a total of 392,546 mcf for the one and a fraction months. It is a better than average well for that part of the play.
What are your thoughts on that part of the play?
Scott, you need to be more specific.
SB, thanks for covering my mistake. That's what I get for trying to multi-task. Glad you have my back!! 8-)
So do u think my first check will be for those 10 or so days , or will they combine nov and dec. And is this area still considered the core. Les or skip talk to me about section 8 16n 15w. Is this the core area. Got big dreams for section 8... thats were MY core area is.. Have there been dissapointing wells in this area. My lease runs out in sec 8 in about a year, just wondering if there gonna get to drilling it.Thanks for all your help in the past.
ylo
YLO, you have nothing to worry about. Your area is dead square in the heart of the HS play. Most of the wells in T16N-R15W were drilled very early before Chesapeake started doing bigger fracs and more stages so are not indicative of the potential. The Wooley 17 is a better indicator. Chesapeake will definitely drill before the lease runs out.
