We leased land in this area before the Shale was announced for 150.00/acre and 1/5. Obviously we lost out on a lot of revenue but water under the bridge now. Has anyone heard of any activity or potential activity in this area?

Hello Lynn, There has been some permit activity to the north of you. 4 wells in the Shongaloo field are being sought just shy of the Line by one company in particular. 2 CV wells and 2 Haynesville wells. Just give it some time.XTO has been fairly constant in the northern half of our parish for a while . It seems to be all around us but we have to wait for them to drill it. They have a lot on their plates to get drilled and held. If they dont hurry up and get to you then you could come up for lease again. Now would be a good time to try and understand the royalty phase of this thing if you dont already have some experience with this. There have been many that have come to the understanding that the fleecing doesn't have to stop after the initial low ball lease they got. Good luck and have a great day.
