A little bit back there was a lot of talk about how Petrohawk had a lot of drilling to do to hold its leases, but I've been watching SONRIS and checking the wells that are permitted for drilling each day. There have not been many Petrohawk well permits at all.

Is there a reason for this? Bad economy? Low prices? Or is PHawk just slow to start? I'm waiting for it to pick up.

What does WSF initials stand for?
Sometimes things aren't as they appear. By my count, Petrohawk has 17 rigs drilling at the present time. I think that is about as many as they have had in the Haynesville and is apparently enough to get their Haynesville acreage HBP'd without losing desirable acreage. If someone has specific knowlege of HK moving out or stacking rigs, I would be happy for them to speak up. It is my opinion that when HK needs wells permitted to keep their rigs busy, they'll get 'em permitted. If they need a deep pockets partner to continue to HBP their acreage, they'll get a deep pockets partner. I have no doubt that deep pocket partners all over the world would love to participate in their acreage spread, both in the Haynesville and the Eagle Ford.
So, Spring, what you're saying is that they're drilling at as fast a rate as they can right now and that I shouldn't be dismayed because I'm not seeing a lot of "new" wells being permitted. Sounds good if that's why you're thinking...Thanks.
You got it, F.M. Permitting will probsbly go in spurts. Seems like about 4 or 5 weeks ago, many of the wells permitted were HK wells.
