Cool, soon enough they'll test and have an ip. Sonris is slow so if you happen to see or hear of what it comes in at please post. Thanks.
there are rumors in gas circles that these 2 wells are going to be 2 of the top wells in Desoto. All of the siesmic info corrobates this; however the frac is still to come and that is the deal maker
Susie, is 6H in Section 6 T14n R14w?????
Yes.
does anyone know why there are so many bulldozers, a whole BUS packed with workers, huge machinery going into these wells. Have never seen anything like it in north Desoto area?
Kittycatmama, have you or anyone else seen any activity around or off Long Rd near the north end? Encana has expressed interest in drilling more wells, and I know at some point there has to be more pads put in to place.
Sections 9 & 4 (Red Bluff at Long Rd)went before dept of conservation for 8 wells in each section. Sec 16 is operated by Exco and they went before DNR for 5 more wells.
Ah, I didn't know that about Exco...that is very interesting. I'm shocked that operators are pushing for more wells with all the HBP still to go but I'm glad for it. Thanks for the update. :)

I have to give Skip credit for this website as without him posting it, I wouldn't have known where to search for hearings. It is so informative. Search for anything with Holly Field. That is where I found the info about sections 4,9, 16
Parkdota, this is just a prepatory step that does not commit the operator to actually drill those wells. Also, the wells still have to be permitted in addition to the alternate well process.
Les, do you think the 8 wells proposed in these areas will be drilled in the next 3 yrs.? I have talked to several encana people and they think that the top areas will get 8 wells per section in next 3 yrs.
KCM, it will likely take EnCana the next three years just to HBP all their acreage. So it is highly improbable that all the top areas would get 8 wells per section in the next three years. I do know EnCana plans to pilot their "Gas Factory" in the next 12-18 months but that will probably just be 1 or 2 sections.

EnCana acreage would be sufficient to have over 5000 drilling locations and they are currently drilling just over 100 wells per year.

Basically some sections will probably get 8 wells much sooner than other sections but which specific sections is very difficult to predict. Of course some sections will get 16 wells if prospective for both Haynesville Shale and Bossier Shale.
