HAS ANYONE LEASED SOUTH OF SAN AUGUSTINE ALONG HWY 147?  WHAT IS THE GOING RATE FOR THE BONUS PER NET ACRE?  I HAVE BEEN OFFERED $1000. PER NET ACRE.  SHOULD I HOLD OUT FOR MORE AND HOW MUCH?  ALREADY HAVE 25% OFFERED.  ONE OF THE LAST TO SIGN.  OVER 800 ACRES.  ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

I think we are in the same 862 acres..I signed lease back in Febuary. My mom leased this property back in the 70's then everything shut down ..long dry spell..I looked at my moms lease from back then and looks like she got $31.00 per acre bonus..we thought we would be rich..lol..way I look at it my first grand-child will be born in few days maybe he will benefit from it, so long as our government doesn't get any ideas about nationalizing the energy industry. From what I can tell there is an old oil well shuit in from back years ago.. but here is hoping we benefit sooner rather than later
We drove South down 147 off 96 today and there are some stakes with pink streamers on them on the side of the road. Is this a Seismic Crew? On one of the stakes was written "CPL KL1167". Anyone know what that means.
Noticed new pink streamers on stakes and fence posts South on 147 and below 103 on 705. Also saw some dark Blue and Red streamers where 705 cuts South off 147 and on the corner of 705 and 103. Could this be Seismic and maybe pipeline markings? I have no clue.
That is about the western edge of Seitel Data's seismic shoot that is to start really soon.
Thanks 5thGen.
In case ya'll haven't looked at Nac. Co. today, Goodrich permitted a well in Angelina Co. just SW of the boat ramp & SOUTH of 103 where it crosses the Angelina River.
Thanks jffree1. Finally somebody permitted South of 103. Hooray!!
I hear Seitel survey is going to be 212 square miles... was told the south line was around 4 miles north of hwy 83... east line was east of hwy 96... Does anyone have any more specific info about where the lines are.... the 212 square miles was from two different sources so i feel like it is accurate.
That is what I have heard also Mike.
My map shows the southwest corner about 4.75 miles south of 103 and 0.25 miles east of FM705. South line runs east about on line between A-7 Coleman, R and A-34 Payne, T surveys then runs off my map. West line runs north north east crossing 705 about 3 miles south of 103 and continueing north to about .5 miles west of the 147/705 intersection then turns west in A-272 SP RR Co survey and goes west off my map after a mile.

My map of northeastern part shows lots of different turns. Boundry comes on my map in the A-36 Quirk, T survey goes NE barely touching NW corner of A-75 Chummley, J survey, goes into A-101 Dillard, JB survey, then up into A-138 Humphreys, W survey. It does a sudden SE jag for about .3 miles then heads dues east over to A-526 Higginbotham, JI survey then turns due south to the bottom of A-347 Young, SL. Then it turns back due east and goes off my map in about .3 miles.
Let's hope they get good readings throughout the 200 mile radius they are going to survey. Evidently they believe it is worth their time and money to do the survey.
