The following was posted in the Sabine County area but we didn't get much activity/discussion. Can someone please read the described well site activity and give us some possible explanation as to what is going on out there?

Rig is gone. Pls. understand I'm a novice at drilling wells, but this is what I saw. No one was on site. Smaller jackup rig w/ 2" drill stem was set up over wellbore( Pioneer well services). Another truck (Rig Express Engineering Services- Fluid Pump Division) was tied to what was probably the wellhead equipment used during drilling above the cellar enclosure. Hoses were run from this thru 2 40 ft. or so square steel tanks w/ hoses to mud pit . A compressor was running near tanks. Did speak to a person when leaving, can't say who by his request, but his info. is reliable!. Said they did hit a shale zone a little over 12,000 ft.. No lateral, but current operations would let them know in time how good the zone was. Comment by someone smarter than me pls.
The truck mounted unit didn't look like separation equip., more like pumping gear. No coiled tubing in sight, just the steel 2" threaded drill stem type pipe stored on a rack and stacked on the rig. Mud pit content was very dark/black. Don't know if mud pit residue is normally this color.

Bump.
probably getting set up to frac and complete the well as vertical test to HBP lease or bring in larger rig to drill the lateral leg don't you think ALongview
This was the response from the Sabine County group:
"they have installed production tubing and may do a flowback or some sort of pressure testing for amount of fluid. Oil/water"
This sure makes me curious and came from the same thread"
"Went back to Hall location this P.M. 5/8. A new, very perminent fence/ gate system was installed since late yesterday blocking entrance to homeowner's driveway with metal gate, another metal gate at right turn to Hall pad road from driveway, and another metal gate across the pad access road. No need for anyone to go to pad now, can't get in. Very costly system. Why now? Either total secrecy for ongoing operations or agreement with landowner for drilling permission?????
Thoughts?
Adubu, this well was permitted as a vertical well only with no lateral.
adubu, what does term HBP lease mean?
Held by production.
I do hope this well is good, would bridge the gap.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
