Does anyone know what drilling will be at the end of Old Pleasant Road.

I am from out of town and went by there and they ared building a large pad and widing road.
I was told that drilling would be soon in sec 6. but don't know where pad would be.

Is there anyway I can find out on sonris where the pad will be located in the unit.

Thanks
Steve

Steve, SONRIS will have no information on this well until such time as a permit is issued. The Well File on SONRIS Lite will list the location information on the first entry under "Scout Info". It will look something like this,

400' FSL & 1320' FWL OF SEC 4. PBHL: 250' FNL & 1550' FWL OF SEC 4.

At that time you will also be able to review all the permit to drill docs under the well serial number in SONRIS Classic including a plat.
Thanks very much Mr. Peel. I am new at this and would like to know when a pad is located.
Some of the members who live in the area may be able to give you a report from the field. It is not unusual for an operator to build a number of pads in an area of the play where they plan to drill multiple wells. On SONRIS LIte the first part of the database to post a new permit is the "Wells By Date" search query. Someone in Sabine Parish may see the location sign go up but that's probably the only possible way that we would know something before it is posted to SONRIS.
