Thanks Skip. I have land in Bienville Parish in the same township and range south of Castor. I hope they keep coming my way. Been leased for a long time I hope to see some activity soon.

The whole area had 3D shoot done about year and half ago. I was part of the shoot. From what I have learned the results were excellent with respect to haynesville and other formation as well. I really hope for some good completions to keep this thing going. The area could use it.

Is the Madden Branch a new field or one that has been around for a long time?

Relatively so, Marc. H. E. Sutton/Jeems Bayou Production drilled a couple of Pettit Line wells there in 1979 and 1981. One was dry and the other produced for a few years. That's the extent of the Madden Branch Field until Encana's Batchelor Etal 29H 001 drilling now.

Thanks for the info Skip. How far does it extend into Bienville Parish? It would not seem it could go very far into the parish.

Marc, the Sutton/Jeems Bayou wells are in Section 6 - 14N - 8W and the Encana well in S24 - 14N - 9W, all in Red River Parish. I do not know the boundaries of the field, only the locations of the wells.
