Sorry unable to open link
that well is waiting on completion
Stephen:

This well does not have three "legs". There is one vertical wellbore, which will be drilled to Penetration Point listed on the plat. The radius for the lateral will sweep from the vertical wellbore to Penetration Point 1, (where the perfs can legally start; see notes) then track horizontal to Penetration Point 2 (where the perfs can legally stop)

The notes stipulate that Perforation Points 1 and 2 are no less than 330' from the nearest section lines (which coincide with the unit boundaries). One lateral, one leg.

I don't have Adobe handy to make a PDF on my laptop. Let me know if you can't view it on SONRIS document images: I'll send it tomorrow per your request.

I haven't heard anything about sales from the well, but someone a little closer to the ground may be able to help you. Nothing is noted on SONRIS as of yet.

Good luck to you, and don't spend it until the check reaches your hands.
Stephen:

Just following up. Looks like the well was completed successfully, albeit a little lower than estimated IP. Seeing checks yet?
Is that a good flow and good producer
Hey Stephen!

From the posts it sounds like you're a royalty owner. Glad to hear you're a Chesapeake royalty owner and we've got a well producing for you. If you ever have questions about your checks, taxes, etc., we have an Owners Relations section of our website where you can track the status of your payments, learn about your check stub and contact a royalty owners specialist. And of course, their's always me. I can try to help out with whatever you need.

Thanks and glad to have you a part of the family!

Katie,

Is Chesapeake paying owners even if drilling on pertohawk leased areas? ( sec 13 T16N-R16W) and if so can petrohawk leased owners sign up on that site?
Jack has same thing. Jack leased to Chesapeake and then Shell made the production unit and drilled.
Jack wants to takl to someone in the know who can tell Jack who will be sending him royalty checks.
The experts on GHS told Jack that Shell would be who he will get royalty checks from.
Jack is thinking that maybe afteer the division order Shell will actually pay CHK 75% and jack 25%. But that can't be so because CHK did not pay their share as well was drilled.........hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm Is gthere someone at CHK jack Blake could talki to???
Did CHK go UMI on the Shell well Matthwe Murray #21 (section 21 t10n r11w
Jack Blake says don't feel overwhelmed..........loads of folks would like to ask different companies different questions...........sigh a good lease where it is the companie's responsibility to tell you who your royalty checks will come from...........
Jack Blake shouted "companies and landowners work well together so everyone makes tons of money............................WWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHOOOOOOOCCCCRRRRRIIIIIEEEEEDDDDJJJJJJAAAAACCCCCKKKKBBBLLLLLLLAAAAAAKKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I guess I opened a can of "worms"....lol
JB:

Who pays whose owners is usually covered in the Joint Operating Agreement (JOA). If CHK signed one covering your well, they (CHK) would be able to tell what will happen. I have seen it done before with companies that sign Development Agreements within an area of mutual interest (AMI) that if someone like CHK decides to go non-consent, they will forfeit any revenues in lieu of receiving a minimal override to some factor of payout (not the equivalent of receiving full net revenue interest (NRI) after payout), and the operator will pay the non-operator's share).

But, if that's not the case, or if CHK decided not to sign the JOA, and elected to go non-consent (E&P cannot go UMI, as they are not an unleased mineral interest, they are a working interest partner, and don't receive the same favorable treatment as UMI), CHK would still have the obligation to pay royalties on production, but would not be able to recover revenues until all well-related costs and their appropriate risk charge (by current statute, another 200%) have been offset.

Needless to say, there are more than a few operators that really don't want to pay royalties on leases where they are not recovering revenue. CHK should have sufficient resources to carry you a few rounds, however, but you should send them written notice or demand (through your attorney, preferably, if you have one) that there is a unit in production in which all or a portion of your lease has been pooled, and that royalties are due to you under the terms of the lease.

There are other discussions on GHS covering the topic of demand letters, so I won't go into the rest here. But the upshot is that you should let them know that you will be expecting checks, and that right soon.

Per LA R.S. 30:10.A.2(e), "...the royalty owner and overriding royalty owner shall receive that portion of production due to them under the terms of the contract creating the royalty". Thus, since you contracted with CHK, you must look to CHK to get paid.

Here's looking to a pleasant cry of Wahoo! from you soon.
I guess since she said Dion "had it right" I should call the number she listed??....OK, I will on Monday.

Thanks and I'll share the results.
Hi Jack -

If you're having difficulties receiving payments or another concern with Chesapeake's operations, please message me and we can go over your situation. You can also call 1-877-CHK-1GAS and they will help to alleviate any issues you're having.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you!
Katie
