What Is the Position of Onshore O&G Toward Offshore Moratorium?

I noticed this article and wondered, haven't seen statements issued specifically by onshore companies.

So the hall monitors remain at work

save a job---agree to the moratorium, create multiple new jobs by investing in oil spill response

and the industry should try another new thing-- stop LYING to steal our environmental quality just to pad pockets to build outdoor BBQ kitchens and attend yacht races
Caliente,

Don't forget the golf courses either. If those rich bastards wouldn't keep having those things built, maybe we could keep Obama off them, and get this crisis solved.
C. - I agree that O&G jobs lost could be replaced by retraining to do the clean-up. Don't know an any good solution, though, for the small businesses onshore that benefit from seasonal "ripple" business, like the oyster supply company.

All these bans and restrictions plays nicely into the scheme of a Cleaner, Greener, energy future!
Louisiana's economic future will be heading back to the pre-petroleum days.
We'll get no sympathy from our current leadership!
PG - We wouldn't have a need to even entertain this idea if things hadn't been so bungled.

What Is the Position of Onshore O&G Toward Offshore Moratorium?

If it doesn't affect them... why would they say anything? And if they do have anything to say, why get on Go Haynesville Shale to say it?

Yet another cleverly disguised political discussion on the main page. Jay and Baron (who have the standing to do so) have (so far) made the only posts to actually address the topic. All the rest is BS and I think the title should be "What is the Position of Onshore O&G ANYONE WHO HAS A RANDOM THOUGHT ON THE SUBJECT Toward Offshore Moratorium?.
jffree1 - No, my title and question specifically ask what the onshore O&G companies think. That's about the industry, nothing "cleverly disguised" about it, I was very clear.

thanks anyway - 80)
And, you knew when you posted it that others, with very strong opinions (who have no connection to industry, whatsoever), were not going to stay out of it, too.

I let the statement stand.

jffree1 - I don't EVEN pretend to have the powers of arrogant omnipotence that some others around here think they do, so I don't KNOW what anyone will ever post.

This forum is full of strong opinions, see example above.

thanks 80)
Heck, I think it's a legit posting and question that is definitely warranted. What exactly do they see that is political about it??
