Hello Everyone,

Can anyone tell me where to find a listing of all the permitted wells in Texas.  The SONRIS does a great job for Louisiana but wanted to know if anyone knew of the resources available for Texas.  Thank you!

http://webapps.rrc.state.tx.us/DP/initializePublicQueryAction.do

You need to at least know the district or county you want to search. Results are limited now to 2000 or less so you should limit the search by date. If you don't use limiters you will get an error message.

Danny, also the Tyler Telegram Newspaper list these on the internet each Sunday---permits and completions. Look for Business and you will see the Drilling, etc. Easy!!! Sometimes it is on late Sat. evenings, but always by Sunday. They also have an archives.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
