EnCana has spudded the first Haynesville Shale well south of Hwy 784 (Hickory Grove Rd) in T12N-R9W.  This well will provide key information and should further extend both the Haynesville Shale and Mid-Bossier Shale plays to the south.

EnCana, Red River 1 LP 24 #H1 Well, Serial #241178, S24-T12N-R9W

The well permit with the plat has been attached.

There is no frac report listed on SONRIS Classic as yet. I'm wondering if the lateral length is a typo since there is a notation of 12 frac stages. With normal lateral lengths that should equate to ~3600', still shorter than usual but only by 2 to 4 stages. The low IP would seem due to the very low flowing casing pressure of 3804#.
Highway, I am not sure the reason for the low well flow rate and flowing pressure but will be looking for the initial test results for the wells in T12N-R8W.
Les,
240978 in 34-12-9 now says potentialed and turned to sales. Any way to find what the state potential is? They don't say what the IP is either.
Jeff, we just have to wait until test information is posted in Sonris and that could take some time.
Les, latest report on the ground is that people are now getting checks from Encana for a partial month in August. Nothing from Shell as yet. The way I understand it they should get half from each company. I guess we'll see what that production is when they get a full month under their belt.
I haven't received any cost info from them yet. We never leased so I expect to get that information soon. I think they have to provide that within 3 mos. of completion of the well.
