I finally found leases for the 42 acre plat in N Davis A-147 I have NPRI in. They were dated 9/26/09 but are not specific $ wise. I also found Releases from St Mary's dated 8/19/10. What is a release and what does it mean. It sounds as if SM released interest in a producing well. This does NOT compute!

Also can someone tell me why the following sounds like I signed a lease.

for and in consideration of said premises $10 and other good and valuble consideration paid in hand blah, blah,blah....adopt, confirm and ratify

I just noticed the filed papers say document type: Ratification

Under remarks it says: Oil & Gas lease
