Several months back Exco proposed at unit in this section, but no other info is out there. Anyone heard any updates

KCM, I can just add that the unit for that section was approved by the Commission on 10/20/10 (Order 289-R-112).

thanks, that is a lot more than I knew. I keep forgetting we have reserved minerals in that area but only at 1/8% because it is held by an old lease.

Noticing that now Exco is going back to DNR for approval for 8 wells. Big change from their initial request of one well in Oct.  Does anyone have anymore info on this section
Guess they figured out how productive this area will be with Haynesville and Bossier shales
Anyone heard any updates on this section since Exco went to DNR for right to drill 8 wells
any info yet on this. No pemits showing up yet, but Exco got right to be operator for 8 wells

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
