The last five wells permitted in Lincoln Parish have been horizontal CV wells. These wells were permitted by Wildhorse Resourses in the Terryville Field and Devon in the old Ruston Field. Now Indigo has sent letters to interested parties in Section 11, T18N-R4W, stating their intentions to drill a horizontal. Good results from these wells could possibly start a shift from vertical completions to more horizontal completions in some of this area. Overall, seven horizontals have been permitted in Lincoln Parish and two have been completed.

Have the two completions been good ones, BD,poi?
It's bringing new life to these fields. Some of these cv wells have been good vertical oil wells. Maybe as horizontals they will be excellent.

Della Colvin 19 H, S. 19, 19N-2W

Potentialed at 3.1 mmcfd

has made 0.512 BCF in the first 6 months and 3900 BO

Cook Estate 30 H, S. 30, 19N-2W

Potentialed at 5.2 mmcfd

Has made 200mmcf in a little over 2 months

made 2574 BO in two months

Maybe they think they can keep improving completions and increase their initial flow. They must like something about it to keep on drilling them. I think it will be real interesting how the wells come produce in the three different fields. Both of the completed wells are in the old Ruston Field.

The Della Colvin oil production is holding up quite nicely especially considering the choke.  I'd like to see a few more months production on the Cook Estate.  The oil/liquids in these wells should support continued drilling and experimentation with completion designs and production profiles.  Good ones to watch.  Thanks.
I received the usual lawyer letter regarding Indigo's application for what appears to be a location  right on the section line in S11-T18N-R4W.  However my property is S2-T18N-R4W.  Am I just receiving the letter as a matter of information or is S2 somehow included in a unit with S11?

Dale,

No, you are not in the unit. But you were probably on the "interested parties" list.

But the completion of this well may have a lot of bearing on the interest, and development of your section.

Good luck!
