Freestone County
XTO Energy will drill the W.A. Keils Gas Unit Well No. 9 to 12,800 feet 3.3 miles south of Teague in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. This well is in the Mates Casillas Survey, A-167 and may be drilled in the Teague (Travis Peak of Pettit B) Fields.
Harrison County
The W.K. Furrh Deep GU Well No. 1H hit 11,997 feet 2.2 miles northeast of Elysian Field in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field in the B.F. Hooper Survey, A-296.
Johnson County
The John Edward King Well No. 19H will hit 9,000 feet 10.1 miles southwest of Cleburne in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. Devon Energy will drill this well in the MEP&P RR Co. Survey, A-1037.
Chesapeake Operating will drill the Randolph Well No. 2H and the Randolph Well No. 3H in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. The wells will hit 12,000 feet in the J. Starrett Survey, A-776.
Kaufman County
The D-42 Well No. 1 and the DD-05 Well No. 1 will be drilled in a wildcat field by Atoms Energy Corporation, Mid-Tex Division.
The D-42 Well No. 1 will hit 280 feet 9.2 miles northeast of Kaufman in the J.B. Cole Survey, A-84.
The DD-05 Well No. 1 will hit 280 feet 1.6 miles northwest of Forney in the J. Gregg Survey, A-171.
Leon County
The Russell "A" Well No. 4R will be drilled by Valence Operating to 11,000 feet 3.8 miles west of Jewett in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field. This well is in the D.W. Burleson Survey, A-141 and may be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit) Field.
Limestone County
The Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field will see XTO Energy drill the B.W. Thompson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 25 to 14,500 feet and the Gibson Well No. 23 to 14,400 feet.
The No. 25 well is 2.8 miles southwest of Donie in the M.C. Rejon Survey, A- 26.
The No. 23 well is 15.8 miles southeast of Groesbeck. These wells may be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Southeast Farrar (Pettit) Field.
In a lease 6.9 miles southwest of Donie in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field, the Standley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 8 will be drilled by XTO Energy to 14,000 feet in the M. C. Rejon Survey, A-26. The well may be drilled in the Southeast Farrar (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.
Nacogdoches County
The Green Well No. 1 and the Moon Pie Well No. 3 will be drilled by Sonerra Resources.
The No. 1 will hit 1,000 feet 17 miles east of Nacogdoches in the J.I. Y'Barbo Survey, A-60 in a wildcat field.
The No. 3 will hit 600 feet 15 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the J.M. Mora Survey, A-827 in the Nacogdoches Field.
Panola County
Anadarko E&P will drill the CGU 12 Well No. 16HH to 12,000 feet five miles northwest of Carthage in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the J.A. White Survey, A-749.
Harleton Oil & Gas will drill two new wells.
The Cooke Unit Well No. 6 will hit 6,600 feet 8.5 miles east of Carthage in the J. Rowe, Survey, A-561 in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.
The J.C. Guill Unit Well No. 9 will hit 6,500 feet 8.5 miles east of Carthage in the B. Strickland Survey, A-587 in the Carthage (Travis Peak 6296) Field. This well may also be drilled in the Carthage (Travis Peak-Collins) Field.
The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see Devon Energy Production drill two new wells to 12,500 feet.
The Southland Paper Co. Well No. 24 is 6.2 miles southwest of Carthage in the I. Hanks Survey, A-271.
The C.P. Soape Well No. 21 is 5.3 miles southeast of Carthage in the M. Ashton Survey, A-8.
Rusk County
In a lease 11.2 miles southwest of Henderson in the West Good Springs (Woodbine) Field, the Lacy Heirs Well No. 1 will be drilled by Barrow-Shaver Resources to 3,900 feet in the R.B. Tutt Survey, A-778. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
San Augustine County
The Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field will see the Red River Gas Unit "A" Well No. 1H drilled by BP America to 17,300 feet 10.7 miles northwest of San Augustine in the E. Mitchell Survey, A-205.
Chesapeake Operating will drill the Hatch GU SAG Well No. 1H in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well will hit 14,000 feet 6.1 miles northeast of San Augustine in the B.B. Picard Survey, A-493.
Tarrant County
Chesapeake Operating will drill the Broad East Well No. 1H, the Edgecliff D Well No. 4H, the Doskocil Well No. 2H and the GM West Well No. 3H to 9,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.
The No. 1H is 3.3 miles east of Mansfield in the J. Back Survey, A-126.
The No. 4H is within the city limits of Tarrant in the J. Asbury Survey, A-47.
The No. 2H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the W. Mask Survey, A-1041.
The No. 3H is .94 miles northeast of Arlington in the M. Harris Survey, A-704.
XTO Energy will drill the TRWD II Well No. B4H and the Carter SE Unit Well No. B23H to 12,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.
The No. B 4H is 2.3 miles southwest of Newark in the J.R. McElroy Survey, A-1066.
The No. B23H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the D.C. Pace Survey, A-1245.
Chesapeake Operating will drill six wells to 9,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.
The Boxer Well No. 3H and the Boxer Well No. 4H are within the city limits of Haltom City in the G. Akers Survey, A-30.
The Bell Well No. 1H, the Bell Well No. 4H, the Bell Well No. 5H and the Bell Well No. 6H are within the city limits of Fort Worth in the R.P. Barton Survey, A-176.
Upshur County
Verado Energy will drill the R.A. Hinson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 12 to 15,000 feet 6.8 miles southeast of Gilmer in the Rosewood (Cotton Valley) Field. This well is in the W.B. Meriwether Survey, A-318.
COMPLETIONS
Angelina County
The S.W. Henderson Hay GU Well No. 1H was completed by Goodrich Petroleum to 19,312 feet 14.5 miles northeast of Lufkin in the Carthage Field. On a 22/64-inch choke the well potentialed 19.633 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Dallas County
Chesapeake Operating completed the Andie P Well No. 1H to 14,356 feet 22 miles northeast of Fort Worth in the East Newark Field. On a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 4.506 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Freestone County
The Teauge Field has seen XTO Energy complete the Curry Gas Unit Well No. 23 to 11,960 feet 6.3 miles southwest of Fairfield. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 647,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.
Harrison County
NFR Energy completed the Moore Well No. 4H to 14,170 feet four miles northwest of Marshall in the Woodlawn Field. On a 58/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.697 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
The SWMF GU 2 Well No. 1 was completed by Samson Lone Star to 11,818 feet 9.5 miles northwest of Waskom in the Waskom Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 481,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
Hill County
The C.R. Shelby Unit Well No. 1H and the C.R. Shelby Unit Well No. 2H are located 3.5 miles southeast of Blum in the East Newark Field.
Quicksilver Resources has completed these wells on a ï¾¾-inch choke.
The No. 1H hit 11,300 feet and potentialed 2.156 million cubic feet of gas.
The No. 2H hit 13,960 feet and potentialed 2.042 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Johnson County
The East Newark Field has seen Chesapeake Operating complete five new wells.
The Bacsik Well No. 3H hit 11,555 feet in Cleburne and on a .75-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.098 million cubic feet of gas.
The Nautilus Well No. 1H hit 14,360 feet within the city limits of Cleburne and potentialed 3.041 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Old Town Well No. 3H hit 11,594 feet 14.5 miles north of Cleburne and potentialed 9.785 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Buchanan-I G Kennon (SA) Well No. 1H hit 11,016 feet 5.6 miles northwest of Cleburne and potentialed 1.774 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.
The Cowboy Well No. 1H hit 13,482 feet 14.5 miles north of Cleburne and potentialed 10.869 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Limestone County
XTO Energy completed the B.W. Thompson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 24 to 13,118 feet three miles southwest of Donie in the Farrar Field. The well potentialed 967,000 cubic feet of gas on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime.
Nacogdoches County
In a lease six miles east of Nacogdoches, in the Kendrick Field, the Ten Bears Well No. 1 was completed by Sonerra Resources to 8,550 feet. The well potentialed 27,000 cubic feet of gas on a 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the James.
Panola County
Preston Exploration completed the Timberstar Well No. 1 to 9,364 feet 6.6 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 138,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.
San Augustine County
XTO Energy completed the Jayhawks DU Well No. 1H to 19,275 feet 5.9 miles north of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. XTO On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 10.259 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Shelby County
The Marshall Anderson Well No. 1H is located 1.8 miles northeast of Cleburne with a depth of 17,681 feet. EOG Resources, Inc. has completed this well in the Carthage Field. When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.744 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale formation.
Exco Operating completed the Morrison Well No. 1H to 18,084 feet 1.4 miles northwest of Hurstown in the Carthage Field. On a 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 7,153 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Tarrant County
Chesapeake Operating has completed seven new wells in the East Newark Field. The wells will be gauged on .75-inch choke.
The Bozarth Well No. 6H hit 11,322 feet in Fort Worth and potentialed 4.476 million cubic feet of gas.
The Golf Well No. 1H hit 11,906 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.044 million cubic feet of gas.
The Golf Well No. 2H hit 11,893 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 1.772 million cubic feet of gas.
The Golf Well No. 3H hit 11,120 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.685 million cubic feet of gas.
The Oakwood Well No. 1H hit 10,801 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.841 million cubic feet of gas.
The West Wing Well No. 1H hit 13,211 feet and potentialed 5.430 million cubic feet of gas, no location was recorded. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Devon Energy completed the Hyde-Hickman "F" Well No. 5 in the East Newark Field. This well hit 9,721 feet and potentialed 3.150 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Quicksilver Resources has completed the Lawhon West Unit Well No. 2H, the Lawhon West Unit Well No. 3H and the Alliance-Cozart Well No. 3H in the East Newark Field.
The Lawhon West Unit Well No. 2H hit 10,575 feet and potentialed 1.832 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Lawhon West Well No. 3H hit 11,420 feet and potentialed 696,000 cubic feet of gas on .75-inch choke.
The Alliance-Cozart Well No. 3H hit 10,145 feet 2.8 miles southeast of Haslet and potentialed 2.841 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
XTO Energy has completed four new wells in the East Newark Field within city limits of Fort Worth. The wells were gauged on a 64/64-inch choke.
The YMCA Well No. B 6H hit 8,749 feet and potentialed 1.338 million cubic feet of gas.
The YMCA Well No .B 7H hit 8,860 feet and potentialed 1.411 million cubic feet of gas.
The YMCA Well No. B 8H hit 9,065 feet and potentialed 1.910 million cubic feet of gas.
The YMCA Well No. B 9H hit 8,708 feet and potentialed 1.771 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
