Any activity in last month or two?
specifically 24-26-14?
Gatorguy, Chesapeake does have one well in that section that has been producing since mid July.
Chesapeake, Mayo 24 #H1 Well, Serial #240068, S24-T16N-R14W, Caddo Parish, 15096 Mcfd, 22/64" Choke, 6125 psi Flowing Pressure
Thanks Les, since I had not heard anything in a long time I wasn't sure what, if anything, was going on. Just curious, if they have been producing since July how long does it usually take before the well is paid for and we start receiving royalty checks? Understand everything is an estimate.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Gatorguy, are you leased?
If yes, you should have already began receiving royalty checks since you are paid on first production.
If not, you do not receive royalty but instead receive a share of the well's revenue (ie production) less operating expenses after the operator has recouped the initial cost of drilling and completing the well. Paying out this initial cost could take over two years under today's natural gas prices. The operator should be sending you pay-out statements indicating the progress toward reaching pay-out of the initial cost.
Here is a number to reach Chesapeake 877-245-1427. Also which part of Stagecoach there are two sections are you referring to the Stagecoach off Mansfield Road? My Parents live in that neighbor hood and I don't know the actual Section that is from Mansfield Road to their back fence line, however, the neighbor that connects to their finish line just received his first royalty check last month. I spoke with Chesapeake yesterday and the Section my parents are in is Section 21 T16N R14W and Chesapeake is getting the division orders ready to send out within the month. I hope this helps you.
Gatorguy, the well in Section 21 was completed and placed on production in early January so I would still contact Chesapeake about the royalty check.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
