They were supposed to be fracking one of our wells on Stagecoach Road a couple of months ago.  We also negotiated use of some of our land for laying hose for fracking on another well out that way recently.  I believe there are two sections involved in the fracking now.

Any activity in last month or two?

specifically 24-26-14?

I put the wrong location in, 24-16-14.  Any updates or activity in this area?  We live out of state and don't get many updates.

Gatorguy, Chesapeake does have one well in that section that has been producing since mid July.

Thanks Les, since I had not heard anything in a long time I wasn't sure what, if anything, was going on.  Just curious, if they have been producing since July how long does it usually take before the well is paid for and we start receiving royalty checks?  Understand everything is an estimate.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Gatorguy, are you leased?

If yes, you should have already began receiving royalty checks since you are paid on first production.

If not, you do not receive royalty but instead receive a share of the well's revenue (ie production) less operating expenses after the operator has recouped the initial cost of drilling and completing the well.  Paying out this initial cost could take over two years under today's natural gas prices.  The operator should be sending you pay-out statements indicating the progress toward reaching pay-out of the initial cost.

Yes, we are leased.  But we have moved twice since we leased our land.  Should we contact Chesapeake?  Have not received any info?  Thanks Les.
Gatorguy, I would definitely contact Chesapeake as it seems you should have started getting payments by now.

Here is a number to reach Chesapeake 877-245-1427. Also which part of Stagecoach there are two sections are you referring to the Stagecoach off Mansfield Road? My Parents live in that neighbor hood and I don't know the actual Section that is from Mansfield Road to their back fence line, however, the neighbor that connects to their finish line just received his first royalty check last month. I spoke with Chesapeake yesterday and the Section my parents are in is Section 21 T16N R14W and Chesapeake is getting the division orders ready to send out within the month.  I hope this helps you.

Yes, this helps a lot.  I just pulled out our contract and realized I was looking at the wrong section.  We are in Section 21 T16N R14W.  I thought we were in section 24.  Our property is on Colt Tr, just off of Riding Club Ln.  We have since moved and do not get a lot of updates.  I just found that they have drilled in our section but the well shows a status of 9?  It says it is testing?  I assume that means they have not Frac the well.  Is there anyway of finding out when they will begin?  Thanks, we appreciate the help and updates.

Gatorguy, the well in Section 21 was completed and placed on production in early January so I would still contact Chesapeake about the royalty check.
