You're welcome, tony.

tony, I'm in the mountains on a dial up connection so I can't look up anything in the SONRIS databases.  The application is for multiple drilling & production units (not wells as such).  The state places no time frame requirement on the drilling of a unit.  The unit order is good indefinitely and the operator may choose to drill in the future at their leisure.  Hunt Oil will decide when and if they will drill a well or farm out some of their development rights.  I can't check for any existing production so it's possible that the determining factor is the length of existing leases.

Skip, My family has intrest in two wells in sec 12 23n 7w one of which is in smk no.211467. In 1994 Hunt attempted to produce smk in sec 1. Resulting in a weak producer. The explanation given was that a fault system had hampered production. So any hopes of leasing sec 2 were dashed. That is until Pinebelt came along. We have sence leased sec 2 with the excludion of Haynesville formation. My big question is what does Pinebelt see that others havent?
john, there is no Haynesville Shale in 23N - 7W.  The Haynesville formation in that area is sand.  It is believed that the Pinebelt and Triad leasing programs are focused on the Lower Smackover (Brown Dense).  Faults can present drilling challenges for horizontal completions but do not necessarily make it impossible.
Go Hunt!!!! The east Haynesville field lives!!!!!! Nice recompilation over 4000 bbl in Tucker !!
Where did you get this information? I don't see it on Sonris
