I have been a member of this site for many years, but i liveout of state. I was
wondering if anyone had a map that shows township sections and ranges they
could post. I have no idea how close i am to any activety in Bossier Parish.
I own 10 acres in township 18n 11w section 18. Is their activety close.
I would appreciate a map, so many intelligent people on this site I know
some one can help.

freddie, not much going on in your area. The best way to track development activity is to learn how to use the state database, SONRIS Lite. Here's a link to a tutorial in the SONRIS HELP CENTER group.

You can download a free map of Bossier Parish with Section-Township-Range here:
http://www.dotd.la.gov/planning/mapping/home.aspx
Click Accept and then select the Bossier Parish pdf.
I find this web site to be useful:

Make sure you have the PLSS box checked.

The above map was created using the GIS feature on SONRIS. they are building a newer better GIS system now, it is also available and quite good, but still a little buggy.
Freddie, attached is an example of a map you can create from Sonris of your area. You will notice a few Haynesville Shale wells in the area.
